Kodak EasyShare Z700

Front view of a Kodak EasyShare Z700This guy lives in my backpack. I can’t believe it still works. The most important feature of this camera is it runs on AA batteries. I try and keep all of my backpacking electronics AA compatible. That way I’ve always got batteries for everything. I keep a stock of 8 extra Energizer AA Lithium’s in my pack at all times. They weigh about half of regular batteries, they last longer, and they work in colder weather. Most of my back country photos and videos have been taken with this camera.

4 MegaPixel’s  of economic mediocrity. Just exactly what I need for the applications it gets used for. Sure I could get better photos if took a lot of heavy, expensive equipment hiking. But then I wouldn’t go as far, as often, and I’d spend my time worrying  about my stuff instead of enjoying myself.

The photos in this page were taken with a D70s and a Micro-Nikkor 55mm AI lens, Basic quality, and Medium size (3.3 Mpixels). Click on a picture to see the approx 1 Mpixel size that I uploaded.
